Her years in the fishing community of Ballard also led to stints as a deck hand and cook on Crab Boats such as the Big Valley in Alaska.
Linda was married to John Maples from 1973 to 1977. She started her own company “Northwest Best Foods” in the 1990’s where she sold her homemade salsa and pickles to bars and restaurants on the Kitsap Peninsula.
Linda spent her later years gardening and caring for her many pets in Des Moines Washington, where she died at home on September 29th 2017 after a period of declining health.
