Kit Schulte Obituary

Kit Patrick Schulte passed away on January 22, 2024 in Seattle, Washington. Born on August 13, 1954 in Nebraska, Kit's journey through life was marked by his loving nature, analytical mind, and a special sense of humor that brought joy to all who knew him.

Kit grew up in the heart of Fremont, where his early years were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family. After moving to Washington, he attended West Seattle High School, where he was known for his quick wit and mischievous antics. After graduation, Kit channeled his entrepreneurial spirit into becoming a successful business owner alongside his father, Denis. His people skills and dedication were evident to all who worked with him.

Beyond his professional life, Kit was a man of diverse interests and talents. His love for music and dancing was infectious, often being the life of the party. Kit was also an avid pool player, a hobby that showcased his strategic thinking and competitive edge. His hands were rarely still, as he found joy in woodworking and technology. Kit's passion for building slot cars and antique cars spoke to his meticulous nature and love for intricate design. He also found solace and excitement in bicycling, enjoying the freedom and adventure it provided.

Kit's fascination with the galaxy led to many nights of star-gazing, a pastime that reflected his deep appreciation for the wonders of the universe. He would often quote the words to Joni Mitchell's song Woodstock to his daughter, "We are stardust, we are golden."

Kit's passion extended beyond his hobbies to the people in his life. He loved nothing more than spending time with the people he loved. He is survived by his adoring daughter Kristina and her partner, Andrew; his beloved mother  Patricia; his loving sister and brother-in-law Denise and Dave Stahnke; and his niece and nephew, Kelly and Matthew. Kit also leaves behind many dear friends including Sean and Mia, who were like family to him.

Those who knew Kit will remember him as a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. His unique approach to life's challenges, combined with his funny and spirited personality, made him a cherished presence in the lives of many. Kit's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his memory will continue to inspire laughter, love, and the courage to dance through life's ups and downs.

Kit's life was a testament to the power of being oneself, the joy of laughter, and the beauty of sharing one's passions with the world. He will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will be treasured forever, as he is truly "the best."
