We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Emmick Family Funeral Home
Anthony “Tony” Edward Haines, age 64, unexpectedly passed away at his home in Seattle, WA, on January 22, 2022. Tony’s beautiful smile, laugh, and generous heart will be missed by many.
Tony was born in Gary, Indiana to Barbara Jean Howett & Edward Lloyd Haines on August 14th, 1957. Tony grew up in Brigantine, NJ. He later moved to Ferndale, WA with his mother & stepfather, where he attended Jr. High and Highschool.
Tony was a man of many titles, but “Papa Tony” was his favorite by far. Tony was a lover of music, a jokester known by many, and last but certainly not least, a well-known extraordinary chef. Tony was noted as being a Master of BBQ, and we will all greatly miss his cooking!
Tony didn’t meet a stranger he didn’t become a friend with. His outgoing & charming personality could make anyone smile. He had a heart of gold, and his presence will leave a mark on all who knew him.
Tony is survived by his 4 children: Tyler A Haines, Jonathan McGarrity, Jillian Haines, & Travis Haines, six grandchildren & one great grandchild. His partner & love of his life, Cheryl Alexander, 2 brothers Richard & David Haines, one sister Kathy Bashaw, many nieces, nephews, along with numerous friends Tony considered family. Tony was preceded in death by both his parents, and one sister Linda Nelson.
An open house Celebration of Life will be held February 19th, 2022 between 4pm-10pm, at the White Center Eagles Lodge, located at 10452 15th Ave SW, Seattle, WA.
