Brent Buzard Obituary

Brent David Buzard

March 26, 1972 – April 3, 2021

It was with a very heavy heart that we said goodbye to Brent Buzard on the evening of April 3, 2021 at the age of 49.  Brent was an amazing son, father, brother and a friend to all!

Brent was born on March, 26, 1972 in Seattle, Washington. Brent grew up in West Seattle, Maple Valley and Burien. After graduating from Highline High School in 1990, he went on to attend the University of Washington.  Brent’s family represents four generations of Washington Huskies.  At the UW, Brent excelled at academics and was a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity.  He spent his career in financial services and business ownership.

Brent had a passion for sports. He loved both his Seattle Seahawks and UW Huskies. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, reading, and discussing history. Brent had an affinity for coin collecting and fly fishing.  He also had a fondness for heavy metal music; in particular, Metallica and Tool! He was a great gourmet cook and was often referred to as “Chef Brent”.

Brent treasured his family and friends and created many wonderful memories with them.  Brent was a kind, giving and compassionate man.  He always went out of his way to take care of others. As one of Brent’s oldest and dearest friends, Dave McFarlane said, “Brent was a friend and a brother. To know him was to love him, and he loved you back.”

Rest in peace, Brent.  We will always love you and keep a special place in our heart for you.  Until we meet again….

Brent was survived by his Father, Edwyn J. Buzard III; Mother, Mary Newby; Step-Father, Don Newby; Step-Mother, Janet Buzard; Sister, Alyssa Newby; Brother, Ryan Buzard and his Sister-in-Law, Melissa Acton-Buzard; Brother, Tim Iszley; Brother, Mike Iszley; Sister, Susan Malcolm; Brother, John Charles Trobough; Sister, Johanna Trobough Markel; and his Son, Joren (Jorey) Johnson and his soon-to-be grandchild arriving this fall. He was also loved by several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Brent was dearly loved by his step-mother, Mary Ellen Buzard, who passed away in October,2020

Brent will be cremated and has requested that his ashes be spread by his sister, Alyssa, while riding a Harley Davidson Motorcycle.
