Judith Puckett Obituary

Judith Ann Puckett (Judy)
November 18, 1947 - March 7, 2022

Judy and her twin sister Jackie were born on November 18, 1947 in Portland, Oregon. She died peacefully on March 7, 2022 at home in West Seattle surrounded by her family.
Judy's parents, Jack and Edith Rudloff, moved the family to Puyallup, Washington in 1961 and she graduated from Puyallup High School in 1965. After a year of college, Judy applied for and was accepted into the flight attendant training program at United Airlines. Upon completion of her training, Judy was first based in Newark, New Jersey. In 1969, she transferred to Seattle and flew with United out of Sea-Tac until her retirement in 2002. Judy loved her job, the travel opportunities it offered and the flight attendants she worked with. She received many "orchid letters" from passengers who flew with her.
In 1970, Judy met Joe Puckett and they married in 1971. After Joe finished law school they made their home in Seattle and raised two children.
In addition to her sister Jackie, Judy is survived by her husband Joe, her daughter Laura of Scottsdale, Arizona, her son Mark and his wife, Theresa of Victoria, BC. Judy's two grandchildren Cody and Grayson were the loves of her life. Judy's optimism, smile and gracious, thoughtful manner will be missed by all who knew her.
A memorial gathering and celebration of her wonderful life will be held later in the Spring. The family wishes to thank hospice, the doctors and staff at Kaiser Permanente oncology and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance for their care and attention during the past 5 years.
