Jeffrey James RATIGAN
May 4, 1948 ~ November 12, 2008
Jeff was born in Seattle, WA then raised in Maple Valley with his brothers Jack, Mike, Tim, Dan and sister Kay. The family moved to West Seattle in 1960 where he has lived ever since.
Jeff attended Holy Rosary Grade School and graduated from West Seattle High School in 1967. He married his high school sweetheart Karen on April 15, 1968. Jeff was a devoted husband and proud father of three children Tim, Gregg and Kristina. His family meant the world to him and he meant the world to them. Jeff was happy with the most simple things in life. He loved being home with his wife and kids, always looking forward to holidays and family gatherings.
Jeff was a proud member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #32 for 37 years. He was known as a hard worker who took great pride in his work. Being mechanically inclined there wasn't a task he couldn't handle whether at work or at home.
Jeff will be greatly missed and always remembered by his loving wife and kids, brothers Jack (Deanna), Mike (Diane), Dan and sister Kay (Steve) Dill, brothers-in-law John (Eugenia) Norberg and Vernon (Sandy) Norberg, many nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, neighbors and co-workers. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Elizabeth Ratigan and his brother Tim.
A visitation will be held between 10:00 AM-5:00 PM at Forest Lawn on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 followed by viewing again at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in West Seattle between 9:00 AM-10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 19.
A funeral mass will begin at 10:30 AM at Holy Rosary with reception immediately following the mass in the school hall.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Seattle, WA. If you wish donations may be sent to Children's Hospital in Seattle, WA.
