Afa Polevia Samana

Afa Polevia Samana passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side in Burien, Washington, on June 14, 2025, at the age of 64. Born in Leone, American Samoa, Afa later lived on the Big Island of Hawai'i before settling in Washington. He was a proud Samoan, an avid gardener, and a devoted Seahawks fan. Known for his sharp humor, generous heart, and deep love for family, Afa was cherished by all who knew him.

He is survived by his life partner, Shari Vornbrock; his children Alex Polevia, Alan Polevia, Alexandra "Allie" Moore (Jason), and Simon Polevia; and his grandchildren Kino, Natalia, Kiahna, Catalina, Cecilia, Noe'lani, and Alex. He was preceded in death by his daughter Marisa Valencia, his parents Toaone and Esekia Polevia, and his beloved brothers Naseli, Faafouina, and Samoa.
