Anne was born to Danish immigrant parents, Soren and Margrethe Frederiksen, in Granite Falls, WA on May 7, 1928. She died peacefully at the Norse Home in Seattle on June 18, 2012. She was proud of her Danish heritage and was active in the Danish community for more than 50 years. She was a long-time member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church and the Danish Sisterhood and gave many hours of service. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her nine grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of more than 60 years, Mel ; her children Kay Harley (Geoff,) Gayle Emmick(Craig,) Gary Hollister (Kathi,) Laurie Morrison, Lisa Hirohata (Mike;) and grandchildren Katrina Harley, Matthew and Michael Emmick, Adrienne and Garret Hollister, Jessica and Spencer Morrison and Tyler and Kevin Hirohata, and Amanda and Grant Harley. She was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will be greatly missed. Thank you to the Norse Home and Group Health Hospice for their care. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 26th at 11a.m. at Luther Memorial Church, 13047 Greenwood Ave. N. Remembrances may be made to Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, the Northwest Danish Association, or the Group Health Foundation.
