Betty Lou Bevers

Betty Bevers passed away November 26th, due to complications recovering from abdominal surgery. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Delwin Bevers who died in 2009. Betty had two children Mike Bevers and Sherie Crha and their spouses Judy and Tom. She had four grandchildren- Bryant and Elyse Bevers, and Katherine and Allison Crha. Among Betty’s four younger siblings, she was proceed in death by her brother Louis and is survived by her sisters and brother Arlene Bunas, Leo Hogue and Geraldine Brown.

Betty was born in Bismarck, ND in 1933. She graduated from Bismarck High School, Class of 1952. Del and Betty were married in Max, ND in 1953 and the couple immediately moved to Seattle, where they have lived ever since. She worked for Pacific Northwest Bell and then later as an office receptionist for many years. Betty and Del were active members of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church for 48 years.

Betty loved to travel the world, with their top destination being the Hawaiian Islands, Australia, Europe, and of course North Dakota. She was an avid reader, loved gardening, quilting, card games, scrabble and all kinds of puzzles. She will always be remembered for her favorite hobby of entering contests and was active in her club of contesters.

She will be greatly missed by friends and family for her spirit and energy. Betty lived her life to the fullest each and every day.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking that friends consider a donation to the American Diabetes Foundation, Cancer Care Alliance, or Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
