Bryan Daniel Setzer

Bryan Daniel Setzer was born on March 23, 1977, at the Madigan Army Hospital in Washington and passed away on the morning of September 29, 2021. Although dealing with long term health issues, he left us far too soon and we are heartbroken. Known for his acerbic wit, sarcastic and dark sense of humor, Bryan was nonetheless a cuddly curmudgeon. He could be fiercely protective of the ones he loved, and was always happy to offer a shoulder to lean on, take care of the tab, and make sure no one had to walk home alone. Interested in politics and technology, music and art, Bryan was a great conversationalist and frustrating to argue with; he did not suffer fools and could be unflinchingly blunt with his opinions. At the same time, he was also exceedingly gentle, especially when late night talks turned into confessionals; Bryan supported his loved ones without reservation, and he will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Bryan is survived by his father Randy (Tracey), mother Beverly, sister Megan (Lance), brothers Durc (Melisa) and Drew, nieces Katlyn and Chaylee, and nephews Anton, Sawyer, and Sterling.  In addition, Bryan left behind many close friends and relatives that will cherish his memory.

A celebration of Bryan’s life is being planned for the near future in Seattle so all that knew and loved him can get together to remember and share all the good memories we all have of him.
