Catherine Macdonald

Catherine MacDonald was born April 5, 1927 at Doctor’s Hospital in New York City, NY. Cathe grew up in New Rochelle, NY with her two sisters and brother. In 1948 Cathe married Buzz Trohn and had two daughters, Leslie and Katie, and raised them in Armonk, New York.

Eventually moving to Denver, CO, Cathe continued to live a full and active life. She enjoyed skiing, swimming, tennis and entertaining. Cathe was blessed with 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren whom she adored and loved watching grow. Cathe suffered from chronic pain for many many years, but she never compromised her eternal optimism and was genuinely interested in seeing the best in people and in life. When greeted by her you would be filled with joy and knowing that she was truly interested in who you were.

Cathe passed away peacefully December 20, 2022 and is survived by a sister, her two daughters, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Her smile, her love of life, and her loving heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her. We are grateful to have been loved by her, and happy she is walking free of pain, wherever her soul may be.
