David Terry Jones

Beloved father and husband, David Terry Jones, died Monday, July 17 at 6:20 AM, surrounded by his daughters, Angharad Caceres, Rhianon Jones, and wife, Maryanne Tagney. Born in 1943, in the coal mining town of Bargoed, Wales, he is survived by his sister Elizabeth Horner and his brother Martin Jones. Celebrating his life are three generations of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, not to mention hordes of friend and acquaintances. He was instrumental in shaping the modern computer world and was one of the earliest employees at Microsoft. He was also an active community member, from the Community Club in Preston to the board of MOHAI and PRI international, he leant his voice and held space for the creative world. He believed deeply in the power of the individual and supported women-focused micro-loans to build independence and autonomy.
