Diana "Lady Di" Yorks
1947-2021

Born October 21, 1947 Diana Lynn Yorks lived many places over the years before finding home in West Seattle in a place she made her own and shared with her cats, Boots and Baby Girl. Diana faced life with determination, courage, hope, generosity, love, and a constant curiosity. With her life she embodied the statement that “finding beauty in a broken world is creating beauty in the world we find”. She created beauty in this world. Whether with her yarn and endless craft supplies, by continually finding awe and appreciation in nature, or by the relationships she formed over years and in a check-out line. She was a creator. In her life she was also a bartender, a mom, a cook on a cruise boat to Alaska, an artist, a giver of gifts, a neighbor, a survivor, a truth teller, an animal lover, and a friend.

Diana passed away at home on June 24, 2021. She leaves behind the beauty she created in this world, and the beauty that already existed that she helped so many of us notice.
