Dolores R Widzgowski

Dolores R Widzgowski, 84, formerly of Wilmington DE and West Grove PA, passed away on January 10, 2024, in Seattle, Washington. She was born in Philadelphia, the daughter of George W and Regina Blyler. Dolores was the widow of John F. Widzgowski and is survived by her children, John Widzgowski (Jennifer) of Seattle, and Ann Marie Gears (Charles) of Richmond, Virginia, her youngest daughter Maureen passed away in 2002.  She is also survived by granddaughters Sara, Abby, and Clare. Her surviving siblings are: Regina, Eileen, George (Brenda), and Robert (Joanne), as well as many nieces and nephews. A graduate of Little Flower High School in Philadelphia, she worked for many years at St. Elizabeth in Wilmington, where she managed the cafeteria, and at Holy Spirit in New Castle, Delaware. She retired from Chase Manhattan Bank in 2001. Dolores loved time spent with her family, her Catholic faith, the Rosary, Longwood Gardens, Christmas and candles.  A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 10 am at Assumption BVM Catholic Church, 300 State Road, West Grove PA..
