Donald Wilson Murphie, 96, died peacefully, surrounded by family on January 22, 2018.

Born in Montesano, WA, Pop was dedicated to both his family and country serving in the U.S. Army for twenty years. As a veteran of WWII and Korea he received a Bronze Star for valor.

A 50 year resident of Queen Anne, he loved basenjis, wild blackberry pie, Dixieland jazz and a good martini.

There will be a Memorial Mass on March 3, 2018 at 11am in the Pigott chapel at Providence Mt.St. Vincent's, 4831 35th Ave SW in West Seattle, followed by a Celebration of his life at Salty's on Alki from 1-3pm.

We would like to thank the staff of the Mount for the love and exceptional care he received while residing there.
