Eric John Hasenkamp

April 12, 1974 — May 30, 2026

Seattle

Born Eric John "EJ" Hasenkamp, the second of four children, to Phil and Juli Hasenkamp on April 12, 1974, in Seattle, WA. He attended Our Lady of Fatima Parish School, O'Dea High School and the University of Washington.

Eric was a loving son, brother, uncle, friend, pet dad and occasional co-conspirator. Throughout his life, the things that he enjoyed and talked about the most were his experiences working with the kids at the Magnolia Community Center Summer and After School programs while he was still at O'Dea; spending time with family and friends at the summer home on Hood Canal (especially the boating); the museum installation projects that he worked on while at Pacific Studio; hanging out with, and possibly tormenting, his nieces and nephews; and whenever possible, the opportunity to go bowling, golfing or disc golfing with his friends.

He is survived by his father, Phil, his siblings, Scot, Bridget and Allison, his nieces, Alexandra (Alex), Freya and Elizabeth, and his nephews, Keldan and Jaxson.

A Prayer for Our Beloved Deceased

I give them back to You, O Lord,

Who first gave them to me, and as

You did not lose them in the giving,

so I do not lose them in the return.

And while You prepare a place for

us, as You have promised, prepare

me also for that happy place.

Where You are, I wish to also be,

with those I have lost in life.

— Amen
