James Leroy Heit

James LeRoy Heit May 7, 1945 – August 23, 2024 On August 23, 2024, Jim died peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He passionately loved Judy, his wife of 57 years, his son Eric (Sally), his daughter Nicole (Matt), and his grandchildren: Joshua, Kai, Ellie, Owen and Emily. Jim was born in Devils Lake, North Dakota on May 7, 1945. He graduated from North Dakota State University in 1969. He worked in hospitals and independent laboratories, as well as a toxicology consultant in the last ten years of his career. Believer in Love, God, and Rock-and-Roll, Jim was a performance driving instructor for Porshe and BMW and he loved traveling to car racing events. He enjoyed dinners at Il Nido and Jak’s Grill in West Seattle, and many adventures to Canada, England, Scotland, Wales, France, The Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark and Norway. He loved his pub crawls in London and Martini Fridays with Judy. Jim was a kind and loving soul. He was beloved and will be missed by all who knew him.
