Jerry Burton Kaufman

Jerry Burton Kaufman died May 12, 2024 at the age of 81. Jerry was born on January 7, 1943 to Ruth S. and Joseph B. Kaufman in Seattle, WA. Jerry attended Eastern Washington University and graduated from Central Washington University. Jerry's early career was in Audiovisual Media at the Pierce County Library System. Later he worked for the US Postal Service, from which he retired. Jerry was an early adopter of computer technology. He was a "computer geek" in a good way, always available to provide IT assistance to friends and family. A gifted musician, Jerry had a beautiful singing voice as well as an ear for playing piano and organ. An animal lover throughout his life, Jerry was never without a pet. He enjoyed daily strolls with his dog and periodic strolls around the golf course. Jerry was curious and eager to learn new things. He was a good listener and a good friend. He is remembered with love and greatly missed. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his partner, Alice McPike; his children, Jennifer Bennett, Jeremy Kaufman and Maureen Hagen; and his granddaughter, Terah. He is also survived by his sister, Julienne Kaufman Sears, two nieces, and numerous cousins.
