John F. Hennessey, Jr.
He gave us roots and wings. He walked the sidelines; took the supporting role. Strong, silent, never seeking center stage, he walked this earth quietly doing the unseen work of angels. He was the quintessential nice guy. Jack loved the simple life. He loved the land. He loved gardening, fishing, carpentry, golf, camping, and hunting. And he loved to laugh. But most of all, Jack loved his wife and his family. Jack Hennessey, 68, son of John F. and Lucy Majeski Hennessey, husband of Kassie, father of John, Ryan, and Dajie, grandfather of Gyselle, Adda, Dante, and Gemma, died April 28, 2018. Most recently making his home in Seattle, Washington, Jack was born in Massachusetts, grew up in Arlington, and received his BA from UMass Amherst. He spent much of his life living and working in Maine. He enjoyed a lengthy banking career, retiring in 2011 as Vice President of Commercial Lending at Bangor Savings Bank. Wherever he called home, Jack’s heart always belonged to Northwood Lake in New Hampshire where he spent happy summers growing up with his siblings Kathy, Carolyn, Gerry, and Marylou.
