Jose Manuel Perez-Blanquet

Age 48, Jose Manuel (Manny) Perez-Blanquet, passed peacefully in his sleep Saturday July 25, 2020 due to long term health issues.

He was preceded in death by his parents Phillip Perez, Carmen Blanquet, brother Ivan, aunt Augustina Reta, cousins Amelia Gonzales, and Enrique (Kiki) Ledesma. Manny is survived by family Mike Wible, Joanne Gillespie, siblings, Guadalupe, Anali, Noemi, Felipe, Aurelio, Carmelo, Gregario, Arturo, Antonio and Jesus. Along with cousins Sulema and Tony Diaz (second parents), Theresa Diaz, aunts, uncles and more cousins throughout Washington, Oregon and Texas. He is also survived by many friends across the world whom he considered family.

Manny’s early years were spent in Mexico City, he moved to Seattle in 1988, attended Roosevelt HS and Seattle Central College.

Manny worked for QFC from 1995-2003. In 2003 he went to work for Bartell Drugs, where he spent the last 17 years. He truly loved helping people.

Manny’s greatest passions in life were photography (Deblanc Photography) and learning foreign languages. He learned to speak Castilian, French, Bulgarian, German and recently Sign Language to better communicate with his deaf and hard of hearing friends. He also enjoyed music, reading, traveling, along with spending time with family and friends.

Manny’s Mantra in life was to treat people how he wanted to be treated. He showed respect to all people that came his way. He believed in living life to the fullest, in which he certainly did.
