Joseph Richard Motyl

Joseph Richard Motyl, age 86 of Seattle, Washington, passed away peacefully at home on October 8, 2021.

He was born on August 9, 1935 in Broadalbin, New York.  He was the son of the late Joseph and Bernice Motyl.

Joe/Richard joined the United States Navy (U.S.S. General H.W. Butner) at age 19,  and stayed with the Navy from 1954 to 1958.  He worked for United Airlines in Seattle, Wa. for 30 years until his retirement in November, 1997.

Joe/Richard is survived by his longtime partner and companion Rudy Monta.  He is also survived by his brothers William Motyl and Albert Motyl of New York.  He is predeceased by four sisters and three brothers.

Joe/Richard was a simple man who found happiness in small things like drinking a cup of warm coffee and a good vodka, reading a good book and walking in the park.  He was a kind, loving and gentle soul.  Gone, but will never be forgotten.  Rest In Peace, dear Joe/Richard.  Till we meet again.
