Karen passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family after courageously fighting metastatic cancer.  Karen Marie Norberg was born in Seattle WA and raised in West Seattle with her brothers John and Vernon.  Karen attended Lafayette, Madison Middle School and graduated from West Seattle High School in 1967.  She married her high school sweetheart Jeffrey Ratigan on April 15th, 1968.

Karen and Jeff had three children, Tim, Gregg and Kristina.  She was a loving wife and mother and always made sure we were well cared for.  Family was always first on her mind.  Karen loved to cook.  Whether it be a family dinner, school lunch, freshly baked pie or batch of cookies, you were sure to enjoy.  She loved all family gatherings with the Norberg’s and the Ratigan’s.  Karen worked various different jobs throughout her life, Best’s Apparel, Blue Cross, Pay ‘n Save corporate and Food Services of America.

Karen is greatly missed and always remembered by her loving children, brothers John (Eugenia) and Vernon, many nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, co-workers and neighbors.  She is preceded in death by her husband Jeff and her parents Hilmar and Anna Norberg.
