Kate Billie Stephens

May 1, 1930 — May 1, 2026

Burien

Kate Billie Stephens was born May 1st, 1930 in Maud, Oklahoma. She passed away on her 96th birthday peacefully in her bed. Just the way she said she wanted. Kate is survived by her Daughter Kathy Conley, her granddaughter Katie Hutchcroft and husband Rick and grandson James Conley and wife Christina.

Kate, often called Granny by loved ones, lived her life to the fullest and always lived life her way. She taught us so many lessons. We know she has a special place in many people's hearts, and she really enjoyed talking with everyone and had so many great memories!!

Granny always kept busy, not only with Katie and James but also being the Secretary of F.E.A.R (Figure Eight Auto Racers) from the 1970s until the year 2000, Madam President and Secretary of the Fraternal Order Eagles, Red Hat Society, Tops, and a few others. She was never bored and always enjoyed being part of some mischief😁 Amidst all these activities, she always made time for friends and family! Birthdays, reunions, margaritas, Spodies..or as Granny would say "that drink with the fruit and liquor in it" 😁, Mariachi bands at her favorite Mexican restaurant for her birthday or going to Dennys for coffee at 2am... she was up for it all!! She loved to take many road trips and train trips over the years!

We can imagine her and our grandpa Dutch seeing each other for the 1st time after all this time. So many things to catch up on!!

We are really going to miss her phone calls and voicemails. She really had a way with words haha.

We can go on and on about her and her awesome life!! Our family is so lucky she was ours!! She always had the best advice even when we didn't necessarily want it lol. She loved to joke around and laugh but also knew when to "cool it" as she said. She will be so missed but thought of everyday for sure!!
