It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Kelly Gene Hawker on March 20th, 2026. Kelly was a devoted Christian, husband, father and grandfather. Although he has lost his battle with cancer, his legacy will live on forever. He is now with our heavenly father serving as he always has.
Kelly Hawker was born October 2nd, 1958, in Boise, Idaho. Raised by Gene and Donna Hawker. Kelly graduated from Middleton High School in 1977, and he has always worked very diligently to provide for his family doing various jobs like structural steel, welding, operating equipment and driving trucks. Kelly was always a hard worker, never failed to provide for his family and he persevered, even in difficult times. Kelly had three beautiful children: Cameron, Serena, and Shalee. He later welcomed another son, Joshua, into the family with open arms. In September of 2000 he met his beautiful wife Lynn Hawker, and they were married on May 11, 2006. This union also signified his dedication to helping raise Lynn’s daughter Savannah, who he loved as his own. Raising 5 children was not for the faint heart, but Kelly always gave guidance, love and support even in the toughest of times. His wife Lynn was always put first in every decision, as true soulmates, this was God’s design for them. Kelly was a loving grandparent to all eleven of his grandchildren, Caden, Kira, Kai, Kiana, Grace, Josie, Lucy, Luke, Stanley, Allison and Jayden. In 2023, our family welcomed the first great grandchild, Kruze Kelly Hawker.
Kelly enjoyed various things if family was involved because he always put family first and foremost. He loved to be in the mountains, one of his favorites being Anderson Ranch Reservoir. Boating, fishing, jet skiing, camping and anything in nature always gave him peace.
In July of 2024, Kelly was diagnosed with Aggressive B-Cell Lymphoma. He went through various treatments but in the end, God was ready to bring him home. He fought a hard and courageous battle. He always put God above all and his unfailing love for his Lord and Savior will always be an example to his family. Kelly touched the lives of many with both his sense of humor and his strength in Christ. Although life was often a struggle for him, he never stopped working hard to provide, teach, love, inspire, joke, and lead people to Christ.
Kelly is survived by his parents, Gene and Donna Hawker, his wife Lynn Hawker, and his five children Cameron Hawker, Serena Oyadomari, Shalee Orchard, Josh Ispen and Savannah Thurman. He is also survived by his two sibling Troy Hawker, and Holly Lane as well as many nieces and nephews.
“As the deer pants for streams of water, my soul pants for you, my God.” Psalm 42:1.
