Kenneth Charles “Chuck” Dammand

Chuck Dammand passed away May 19 at Swedish Hospital after suffering two strokes. Chuck was born January 17, 1936 in Everett, Washington to Ken and Viola Dammand. He graduated from Everett High School in 1954 and went on to Central Washington University where he graduated in 1958. He met the love of his life, Mary Lou Pappas, while in college and they married on June 22, 1958. Chuck and Mary Lou settled in Seattle, Washington where Chuck was employed as a successful salesman for Lee Jeans winning many awards as the top salesperson. Though he enjoyed his work, he was able to retire in his mid-50s. Chuck was an avid golfer and could often be found on West Seattle Golf course sneaking in a round with friends. While in retirement he and Mary Lou spent vacations in Maui where they liked to swim and explore the many beaches. He also enjoyed fishing, running, reading and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Dammand of 59 years, son Kenneth Dammand (wife Charlie), daughter Julie Ruffner (husband Jeff), son Jon Dammand (wife Maya) and his four grandchildren. Jordan, Josh, Samantha and Alexandra.
