Leah Molina Antonia Gold

March 27, 1973 — June 5, 2021

Seattle

Leah Molina Antonia Gold was born on March 27, 1973 in Missoula, MT joining her brothers Jack and David Gold and parents Cleo and Jerry Gold.

She died at home June 5, 2021 surrounded by loving family and friends, after a hard-fought battle with metastatic breast cancer. Raised in Seattle, Leah attended Seattle Public Schools, graduating from Nova Alternative School. She attended The Evergreen State College earning a bachelor’s degree in the Performing Arts.

Exceptionally talented, creative, compassionate, and curious, Leah used her many gifts to raise money for homeless youth in Portland OR, teach children in Germany, provide care giving services to residents in long-term care facilities, support artists, musicians, and filmmakers (including herself), inserting her sense of fun into everything she did. She was a gifted musician always willing to learn new instruments and experiment with different sounds.

She worked at Archie McPhee’s for several years prior to the pandemic, loving the many opportunities she had there to mine her sense of the absurd and wacky. In addition, Leah was a filmmaker and was working on the completion of a documentary. Her most current passion was learning how to use various medicinal plants for healing. She was hoping to earn a degree in Eastern Medicine and wanted to become an acupuncturist.

She leaves behind two sets of parents – Jerry and Jeanne Gold; Cleo Molina and Bill James – her siblings Jack Molina, David Gold and Noelle James-her niece and nephew Katelyn and Liam Scott – her Aunt Chris and Uncle Steve Berg, a large extended family, and a multitude of dear friends throughout the U.S., Germany and other parts of the world.

She is sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. A private green burial was held in June followed by a memorial in July.

Please share memories of Leah and condolences with her family on the tribute wall, located above.
