Lisa Renee Peters

Feb 2, 1963 — Jul 24, 2026

We celebrate the life of Lisa Renee Peters, who was born on February 2, 1963, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, and who passed away on July 24, 2026, in Seattle, Washington. She attended Northern Lebanon High School, where she excelled in both academics and sports. Lisa received a full academic/ field hockey scholarship upon graduation in 1981 to attend Northwestern University and received her Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University in Journalism in 1985. She also completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northwestern in 1987. Lisa first worked as a nurse in Pennsylvania for several years before moving to Seattle, WA in 1990. She worked as a Night Charge Nurse at Harborview Hospital for 23 years. She was celebrated as a leader throughout her career.

Lisa follows her parents, George P. Peters and Dolores (Dolly) J. Peters ( nee Wentzel), who both passed several years ago. She is survived by her brother George (Sheila) Peters, who lives in PA, her sister Kelly (Tim) Peters, who lives in ME, and two nieces, Tara Peters and Kelsey (Tim) Papciak, who also live in PA, as well as a great-nephew, Killian Peters, and an aunt, Loretta ( nee Wentzel) Jacobs, in North Carolina.

She loved movies; attending film festivals and going to movies with her friends were some of her favorite pastimes. She loved to travel, garden, and adored her furry friends, Zin and Monkey. Lisa enjoyed pet-sitting for friends, so she could continue getting quality time with animals, which brought her joy.

She was a great sister, aunt, and friend. No matter who she was with, that person was the most important person in her sphere. Talking with her was so easy. She shared conversation; she gave you her time. Even if the next visit was a week, or two, or longer (as the world intervened), she picked up where you both left off, and it was easy for her. She loved her family and friends, and she will be missed by all.
