Marilyn was born in Seattle on Aug 17th, 1937 to Ronald & Mary (Neil) Thatcher of West Seattle. She graduated from West Seattle High, followed by Western WA University. She went on to teach elementary school in the Highline School District for 38 years. Marilyn first married Robert E Farmer in the 60’s, then John D Brown in the 70’s, and saved the best for last, Charles McCarrell, who passed in 2011. Along the way, she had three sons, Randy, Robert, and Ronald, all of WA state. Marilyn leaves a legacy of laughter, bacon & eggs, Ocean Shores, Jiffy Pop, avidly reading David Baldacci & Lee Child, fishing with Charles, love of family, and dedication to her faith. She is survived by her three sons and granddaughter, Daniella. Mom passed on April 18th at The Kenney Home in West Seattle. No services at her request. She will be interred with Charles at Tahoma at a later date. Many, many thanks to Evergreen Hospice, especially Ann & Cathy, who guided her to her final destination. Also, Norma & Dayne at The Kenney. Truly, amazing people. A big thank you to Emmick Family Funeral Services. By far, some of the nicest people in town.
