Mark Andrew Scholz

Mark Andrew Scholz, born September 11, 1972, passed away on March 21, 2026.

He was born to Henry and Joanne Scholz, who preceded him in death. He grew up on Vashon Island and attended Vashon High School, where he spent his early years surrounded by the close-knit island community.

Life brought its share of challenges as he faced ongoing health issues. Despite this, he showed resilience and did his best to work when he was able, navigating life in his own way and on his own terms.

In recent years, Mark made his home in Burien, Washington. He found joy playing Pokémon Go, watching movies, and especially enjoyed Japanese anime. He valued connection and companionship, and he shared a special bond with his best friend, Gregg, whose friendship meant a great deal to him.

He is survived by his two older brothers, Nate Scholz, married to Kimarie, and Dan Scholz, married to Yoko, and his six nieces & nephews.

A private remembrance will be held by family.
