Phyllis Darlene Homchick (nee Patterson) passed peacefully on January 24, 2026. She was born September 28, 1927, at Deaconess Hospital in Wenatchee, Washington. Phyllis attended Wenatchee schools and graduated from Wenatchee high school in 1945. She worked in the business office of the General Telephone Company from 1946 to 1951. Phyllis married Theodore R. Homchick on August 21, 1950, in Aberdeen, Washington at Saint Mary’s Church. She is survived by her children, Craig (Maureen) Homchick --Wenatchee, Washington; Anita (William) Harbour- Olympia, Washington; and Robert (Byron Joyner) Homchick --Seattle, Washington.
Phyllis is also survived by her grandchildren: Ryan Homchick, New York City; Julie (Ragan) Crowe--Seattle, Washington; Michael (Erin) Harbour-- Olympia, Washington; Lisa (Matthew) Carrell--Olympia, Washington; Theodore (Michael Rhoades) Homchick, New York City; Natalia Homchick-- New York City; and Robert (Amanda) Homchick-- Chicago, Illinois. Phyllis' great grandchildren include Silas Crowe and Joni Crowe-- Seattle, Washington; Charlotte Harbour and Sophia Harbour-- Olympia, Washington; Alice Carrell and Evelyn Carrell-- Olympia, Washington.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Theodore Homchick, as well as her parents, brothers Drew (Mabel) Kenneth (Betty) and Milton and her sister Velma (John). She was a member of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, Saint Damien‘s Guild and several bridge clubs. Phyllis was also a past member of Wenatchee Women’s Guild, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, was a member of Wenatchee Golf and Country Club and actively participated in YWCA Estate Sales. She enjoyed reading, playing bridge, traveling, antiques, researching family genealogy and anytime spent with family.
