In Loving Memory
Bob was born December 23, 1945, to Grace and Alan Sandell, passed away peacefully in his sleep on 12/30/2024 at the Washington State Veterans Home in Port Orchard. He was 79 years old.
The oldest of four sons, Bob grew up with a strong sense of family and a love for adventure. After graduating high school, he proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Assigned to the USS Hornet, he traveled the world, making lifelong memories and building a deep appreciation for service and camaraderie.
After returning to the United States, Bob lived life to the fullest. He owned and operated the 102 Tavern for several years, creating a welcoming space for friends and patrons alike. He later pursued a career in real estate, opening his own appraisal business and settling in Des Moines, WA, where he continued to work and raise his daughter Courtney for many years. Bob was known for his quick wit, unwavering loyalty, and for the many friendships he built throughout his life. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
