It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Suzanne Dedrick on June 12, 2023, in Everett, Washington, at the age of 73. Suzanne was born on October 5, 1949, in Long Beach, California.
A dedicated educator and prolific author of educational materials, Suzanne (Sue) made significant contributions to her community through her work and her generous spirit. As a teacher and school administrator, she touched many lives and left a lasting impact on the world of education.
Sue was the loving mother to her children, Nolan Dedrick Lattyak and Sarah (Chris) Dedrick Kinsella (Lattyak) and sister to Nancy Hodge (Dedrick). She was a doting nana to her adored grandchildren Delaney, John, Hudson & Henry, and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
Predeceased by her parents, Lavonne Hortense (Beeks) Dedrick and Warren Dedrick and brother Thomas Dedrick, Sue leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and kindness. Her memory will forever be treasured by her loved ones and all those whose lives she enriched.
In Sue's honor, in lieu of flowers, we ask you to make a cup of strong black coffee, immerse yourself in a good book, and consider a donation to the Everett Public Schools Foundation. These acts mirror Sue's life – her love for simple pleasures, her devotion to education, and her passion for giving back.
A celebration of Sue's life will take place on August 27th from 2:00pm-4:00pm at Willis Tucker Activity Center, 6705 Puget Park Drive, Snohomish, WA 98296.
May Suzanne rest in peace, and her legacy continue to inspire.
