Tommie Ruffin was born September 13th, 1945.
She attended Garfield High School in Seattle Washington and graduated from the Culinary Arts program at SCCC.
She later earned her Nursing certification, and spent her entire adult life working in the Elder Care industry.
She had 2 children: Floreen Jones (nee Harrell), and Leonardo Harrell.
She is survived by 2 siblings: Charles Ruffin, and Diana Ruffin. 5 grandchildren: Crystal Daniels, Christopher Daniels, Rose Daniels, Jason Harrell, and Deitrich Jones II.
Seven great-grandchildren: Jordan Daniels, Anaya Moore, Xavier Goss, Jaden Moore, Jermaine Daniels, Justice Daniels, and Braylyn Henderson.
In addition to running her elder care business for over 40 years, she was a minister for most of her adult life.
The greatest passion of her life was her Christian faith. She was committed to street ministry early in life, and children's ministry for many years. She had a large collection of puppets of all shapes and sizes. The puppet shows she put on are remembered by 4 generations.
Her other hobbies were collecting crystal artwork, travelling the globe, and she had the greenest of green thumbs. Some of you may have visited her when she transformed her entire home into a beautiful greenhouse full of plants.
Her life impacted many lives all over the world. She is loved, and will be missed by many.
When you remember her, remember her smile, and that hearty laugh. Everyone who met her knows exactly what that means.
