Urban Andrew Seay III, lovingly known to family and friends as Andy, passed away on March 19, 2025, in Seattle, WA. Andy was born in Texas on June 17, 1988 and spent his childhood and teen years in Luling and Hallettsville. He attended and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, where he met his wife, Elisa. Andy had many passions that shaped his life. He loved to travel and explore new places and good food across North America and Europe. He was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to Texas Football, and his enthusiasm for the game was infectious. Andy also had a deep interest in history, especially WWI, and could often be found watching documentaries and movies about various historical events. His love for the outdoors was something that defined him, whether it was golfing in the summer, skiing in the winter, hiking in national parks, or simply taking long walks in his neighborhood. Andy was also an animal lover, which showed in the way he connected with his many dogs throughout the years. Andy is preceded in death by his grandparents on both sides of his family, as well as his beloved dogs Moose and Brutus. He leaves behind his wife of seven years, Elisa, and their daughter Halley, who brought so much joy to his life. He is also survived by his parents, Urban and Susie Seay, his brother Weston Seay and wife Lauren, his dog Bonnie, and a wide circle of family and friends across the US who miss him enormously. Andy lived a life filled with joy, adventure, and love for his family. He was a man of quiet strength, but was deeply funny and always enjoyed making people laugh. He touched the lives of everyone he met, and those who knew him will always remember his infectious spirit and kind heart. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Andy's honor to the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation, an organization dedicated to advancing mental health research. A private family service will be held. Additionally, the family is planning a celebration of life for Andy in both Seattle and Hallettsville, details of which will be shared at a later date.
