Vernell Allen Guillot

Vernell Guillot was born on December 24,1933 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Vernon and Nell Allen. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Olson, son in law Scott Olson of Seattle, Washington, her son Stephen A. Duczer, Jr. of Sewanee, Tennessee and 3 grandsons, Bryant Arlt, Stephen Olson and Sam Duczer. She is survived by 3 great grand children, Mallory Arlt, Braden Arlt and Simone Olson.

She is also survived by her sisters, Barbara Varnado of Bogalusa, Louisiana and Margaret Raines of Pinehurst, North Carolina..

She lived in Slidell, Louisiana for over 40 years. She was active in her church, First United Methodist Church where she taught kindergarten for many years. She was also a member of Slidell Junior League and the Ozone Camellia Club. Her husband, AJ Guillot, preceded her in death.

In her later years she moved to Seattle, Washington to be near her daughter, son in law and grandson, Stephen who she called “precious”.

She lived at Aegis West Seattle for the last four years of her life. Aegis took wonderful care of her for which we are grateful.

She passed away on March 14, 2025.
