Brian Camus Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, and friend, Brian Edward Camus, at his home in Renton, on October 1, 2023, at the age 54.

Brian was born to Don and Christina Camus on May 16, 1969. He grew up in Shoreline, WA, graduated from Shorecrest High School, and enlisted in the Marine Corps, where he completed a tour of duty in the Gulf War.  Brian was most proud of serving in the Marines and being a part of their brotherhood.

Brian had a tough exterior, but deep down, he was sensitive and emotional. His booming voice, strong personality, humor, and loyalty touched the lives of many. Brian was always the life of the party. He loved movies, music, and books and kept detailed lists of all his favorites.

Life was difficult for Brian these past few years. He struggled with depression, health issues, and alcoholism. Brian will remain in our hearts forever, and we pray that he has finally found the peace he longed for. We cherish the memories of happier times.

Brian is preceded in death by his mother, Christina Bratz, and survived by his father, Don Camus; his stepmother, Teri Camus; and his siblings, Tracy Fajarillo, Heather Walior, and Chad Walior. Brothers and sister in law, Charlie Fajarillo, Javier Chacon, and Alea Walior. Brian had aunts, uncles, and cousins who thought highly of him and will miss him greatly.  Brian loved and was loved by, his nieces and nephews: Steven Fajarillo, Jaquelyn Fajarillo, Jordan Tugwell, Bella Tugwell, Kellen Tugwell, Gabriella Walior, Elijah Walior, Luca Walior, Hailey Fajarillo, and Landon Fajarillo.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday November 2, 2023, at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th St, Kent, WA 98042. Reception immediately following at the Cherokee Bay Community Club, 21700 SE 265th Way, Maple Valley, WA 98038.

Instead of flowers, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Headstrong Project to support Veterans in need.
