David A. Bibby passed away on August 28, 2023 with his family at his side after a four month fight with lung cancer. Born to Virginia and Bill Bibby on November 26, 1943 in Seattle Washington. Dave grew up in Burien with his brothers Jim and Terry. They attending Lake Burien grade school, Puget Sound junior high and he graduated from Highline High School in 1962. After graduation he served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army National Guard as a medic. In 1965 he began an engraving business with his brother Jim. In 1967 he opened Burien Trophy which he owned and operated until 1986, and then he started another business, Washington Trophy Supply in 1987. After seven years in business he sold Washington Trophy and went to work for the Washington State Patrol as a facilities manager. The patrol gave him a twenty five year career doing what he enjoyed working with his hands and improving properties. He always enjoyed updating and remodeling his homes that he bought and sold. Throughout his life he loved Anderson Island and the family cabin. He was called to the sea from a young age, his best times where enjoying boating and the wonderful friendships developed on the water and at Des Moines Yacht Club for many years.
