Timothy Reagan Obituary

TIMOTHY “TIM” J REAGAN

1943-2021

Tim was born April 21,1943 to Patrick and Marie Reagan at Providence Hospital in Seattle. With his family by his side, Tim went to be with his Lord on October 20, 2021.

The eldest of 5 children, Tim grew up on Capitol Hill amongst a vibrant neighborhood. He enjoyed life as a child with his siblings; Janet, Jack, Rod and Kevin and many neighborhood friends. Family time was important and throughout his life Tim was close to his siblings spending time with them on frequent get togethers.

Tim attended St.Josephs Catholic Grade School where his mother taught for many years. He went on to Seattle Prep and entered St. Thomas Seminary in his sophomore year. After completing his education there and receiving his Masters Degree, Tim spent a few years in Catholic ministry.

In 1972 Tim married the love of his life, Julie. His soulmate, partner and best friend of 49 years . They settled in West Seattle and raised two wonderful children, Scott and Leah .

Tim was an Insurance Agent for over 48 years. He started his career with Penn Mutual Life Insurance for 6 years and in 1979 he fulfilled his desire to begin his own family Property Casualty Insurance Agency. The Reagan Agency Inc was born and with his wife Julie as his partner they grew the agency into a successful Insurance Agency. Their daughter Leah joined them in the business and it is still a very vibrant business today in West Seattle under the dba Harbor Insurance Services.

The most precious moments and times of his life were with his family. His children Scott and Leah were his joy and as children they enjoyed camping and hiking ,trips to the ocean,Leavenworth, and other great times with their Father. He introduced them to classical music, the arts and theater. He taught them the value of education and working hard. He was closely bonded with them and as their lives went on, he imparted his usual fatherly advice with a little touch of humor. As they began to get married and have families of their own a whole new world of amazement entered his life.

He was proud of his 4 grandchildren Scottie, Elaina, Atticus and Dominic. He felt fortunate to spend so much time with them. There were frequent visits to parks, the zoo, the waterfront and of course fish and chips. The pet store and toy store were a favorite. As was Husky's ice cream. They spent many vacations together at the Oregon Coast. One of the things that the grandchildren will remember the most is his love for books. He was always picking up a book and reading to them. Teaching them the value of words on a page. They all loved their Papa .

Especially his humor.

Tim had a very large extended family who also played an important part in his life. Family get togethers were always present and he looked forward to that time with them.

Tim was a faith filled man. His church was his second home. He was involved in parish life as Lector and Eucharistic Minister at Holy Rosary Parish for over 35 years. He instilled a strong faith in his children. His faith grounded him throughout his life. It was his constant companion.

He loved reading, music and art. Trips to the Oregon Coast was a favorite. With his wife Julie they traveled to many places in Europe including France,Italy,Switzerland, Germany, Prague ,Austria. Hawaii was like home to them and they were fortunate to have spent lots of time there.

Tim enjoyed life. Not just as it came to him, but also what he made of it. He always use to say “ I was born with happy genes”. It was apparent in the way he went about his life. The person that he was will never leave us. He touched so many lives. Thank you Tim for being a part of us. We love you and will miss you always.

Tim leaves behind his loving wife Julie, his beloved children Scott and Leah(Tim), his grandchildren Scottie Jr, (April), Elaina, Atticus and Dominic. His greatgrandchildren Soleanna and Luna Grace. Also his sister Janet(Gerry) , brothers Jack(Jane), Rod(Chris) and Kevin(Rebecca).
